Made to look similar to an army footlocker turned on its side, this case is built of 3/4" birch plywood with maple edging. It was designed for a Vietnam War militaria collection, with a few pieces shown for scale. The exterior is a custom mixed "Olive Drab" green paint with stenciled lettering and an applied graphic. The interior paint is also a custom mix--US Navy Gray, mixed by a Vietnam Vet who was himself in the Navy, and who painted plenty of gray while stationed in the South China Sea.
